Cardi B is known for her “Cardi candor” on social media. One of her latest posts is no exception. On Monday (April 5), the rapper revealed some, shall we say, steamy details of the recording session she shared with Offset for 2017’s “Um Yea.”
Cardi B began by telling her 17.7 million followers, “I don’t want to give you this weird, fake ass, romantic, awkward story, but I remember this one time when I was in the studio with Offset and he was doing ‘Um Yea,’ the song that me and him have together, and while he was doing the song and everything, he kept looking at me and smiling and shit.”
Cardi B continues to share, “Then I told him, ‘I want to get on the song.’ So I just started writing my verse and everything and he was looking at me like, ‘Oh shit girl!’ It is then that Cardi B says the two of them, ahem, shall we say, had sex. Her recollection is more blunt, to the point, and definitely NSFW.
“Um Yea” is one of a few songs that the rappers have collaborated on together. Other tracks include “Lick,”“Drip,” “Motorsport,” and “Clout.”
Offset proposed to Cardi B in Philadelphia in the middle of a Power 99 Powerhouse concert in October, even though the two had already obtained a marriage certificate prior, secretly. Cardi B would later say in a statement, “There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments!”
The two rappers have a two-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus who was born in July of 2018. The couple would later split amid a cheating scandal only to be reunited again in early 2019. In September 2020, Cardi B filed for divorce and would call it off in November. Just this last Valentine’s Day Cardi posted a video on her instagram of the family on Valentine’s Day.
