Carla Morrison has been busy since the release of her hit videos, “Compartir” and “Yo Sigo Aqui,” her recent SXSW performance and Vive Latino showcase. This week, the talented and humble Morrison previewed her video documentary, “Dolores a Colores,” charting the process of her December 16th performance in her hometown, Tecate BC, México. You can’t resist Carla’s sweetness and sincerity. Watching her buy a bubble machine, piece together her glittery, flowered backdrop for the performance, and guide her friends and fellow musicians through rehearsals of her hand-crafted show is dazzling and endearing. Like watching family home videos, the documentary unfolds, and the performance sweeps you away.
