Yah, Brooklynits and residents/visitors know that Celebrate Brooklyn hosts some pretty gnarly, many FREE, and diverse shows at Prospect Park every single summer for the past 33 years. They welcome music lovers, film enthusiasts, the whole family, dancing fans, and anyone else who is called YOU. This year’s 34th annual fest lineup has us looking anxiously ahead for summer in NYC. We can already feel the warm breeze and humidity all around. Celebrate Brooklyn kicks off its series with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff and continues overall for 32 days and nights of pure entertainment! We look forward to a bunch of free gigs especially hehe, 24 to be exact! Some of our faves, of course, are those hosted by the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) who will feature Chilean/French hip hop poetess Ana Tijoux, Puerto Rico’s innovative urban duo Calle 13, and Chile/US funky beat duo Ritmo Machine!
