Coldplay is uniting global singers on their next collaboration. On Aug. 6, the emblematic British rock band announced their upcoming track “We Pray” featuring Palestinean-Chilean artist Elyanna, Argentinean singer Tini, Nigerian singer Burna Boy, and British rapper Little Simz. “We Pray” is set to be released on Aug. 23. Fans can listen to a preview of the song now.

Earlier this summer (June 29), Coldplay invited Elyanna to perform a couple of songs with them during their Glastonbury 2024 headlining slot in England. During the show, one of the songs was a new collaboration, “We Pray,” which they performed at the time with the Baltic String Orchestra and Little Simz. Burna Boy also made an appearance on the screens, giving the audience a taste of what was about to come.

Today (Aug. 6), the band finally confirmed the official collab, revealing that Tini – one of Argentina’s most popular singers – is also part of the mix. “how crazy my god🥹 remember the day I told you when UMDP [Un Mechón de Pelo] came out?” she wrote online in Spanish. “I was there in the studio and I still can’t believe it came true. what a great emotion.”

She continued: “my favorite band in my life, the one that marked so many moments. getting to know chris beyond the artist he is, as a person. what a beautiful blessing. thank you 🥹🤍.”

This isn’t the first time Tini has collaborated with Coldplay. In Nov. 2022, Tini joined the band to perform “Let Somebody Go” and “Carne y Hueso” during their Music Of The Spheres World Tour stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Moreover, Tini is one of Argentina’s breakthrough artists. To date, she has charted two top 10 placements on Billboard’s Latin Pop Airplay chart thanks “La Loto” with Becky G and Anitta and “La_Original.mp3” with Emilia.

On the other hand, Elyanna has been leaving her mark in the music industry. Last year, she became the first artist to sing a full performance in Arabic at Coachella. Up next, the skyrocketing singer is set to embark on her global WOLEDTO Tour after selling out her first U.S. tour at the beginning of 2024 and slaying her Lollapalooza 2024 set.
