The Minds Behind Boiler Room Mexico Present New Tulum Festival Comunite

Boiler Room had a strong presence in Latin America in 2015, throwing parties in countries like Colombia and Argentina. But its activity in Mexico was particularly extensive; with transmissions from festivals like Mutek.Mx, and the expansion of the website’s concept through the Uncovered Sessions, in collaboration with Heineken. Over all, Boiler Room has definitely found in Mexico a fertile territory to develop new ideas, and next year is already shaping up to continue these efforts.

The people who organize Boiler Room in Mexico have decided to take things a step further with the announcement of Comunite, a brand new festival entirely produced by Mexicans which will be held on January 13th in heavenly Tulum. The festival was conceived of as more than just a party; it carries a socio-cultural and environmental message: part of the revenue will be donated to organization Isla Urbana, to help bring potable water to local families; and also to a civil organization that helps preserve the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve in Tulum.

But that doesn’t mean it won’t be a rager with a killer line-up. Names come from all around the world, and include important producers in the global electronic music scene like Moodyman, Edward, Rhadoo, and many more. Latin sounds are also part of the program, with artists like Nicola Cruz, Matanza, and Baby Vulture on deck. For everyone who won’t be able to make it to Comunite, Boiler Room’s got your back, bringing special transmissions that will highlight the Latin American talent participating in the festival.

So, there you have it! 2016 hasn’t even started yet and we already have big events like Comunite right around the corner to make us look forward to whatever the New Year has in store for us.
