Costa Rica’s Festival Epicentro Reveals Full Schedule for Second Edition

Last Friday Costa Rican festival Epicentro had its first SXSW gig ever and showed Austin what they do best. They opened up a space where new latin alternative bands can showcase their work and get the opportunity to expand their network. Luckily, that one show was just the beginning of what Epicentro has lined up for this summer.

The activities in San José, Costa Rica are ready to kick off next Wednesday the 25th and the full lineup hints that this will be an exhilarating experience.

Well known acts such as El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Frikstailers and María y José will be there as well as many emerging acts from Spain and Latinamerica: Marineros (Chile), The Parrots (Spain), Balancer (Colombia/Puerto Rico) and some of the best Costa Rican live acts such as Los Waldners, Raido, Timber of Trees, Ave Negra, Saturno Devorando and Zopilot! will be there too.

Showcasing 26 bands in total, the 2015 summer market (Mercado de Verano) will also include conferences addressed to the young artists working hard on their bands, and a pop-up store containing the merch of 80 Costa Rican bands of all genres.
