Why wait for another DJ/producer to remix your work when you can do it yourself? That’s what Peruvian electro-cumbia duo Dengue Dengue Dengue! did with their track “Chacalom” off their recently-released debut album, La Alianza Profana.
“Chacalom (Sin Bolsa mix)” is the latest release by DDD (née Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira), and is available exclusively through Remezcla thanks to Colectivo Auxiliar. We can also expect more remixes where that came from, so definitely be on the lookout. The original track was a dark and trippy affair with beats and lines probably influenced by the medicinal cactus ayahuasca, or perhaps poisonous frogs. The remix keeps most of that intact but jumbles it up in such a way that makes the track more danceable.
