One thing we’ve learned about DC’s Empresarios is that these guys don’t stop, seriously. Since their debut album, Sabor Tropical, in early 2011, they have been releasing a constant stream of EPs with plenty of new material and exciting remixes. The latest one of this is Volume Remixed (available today on Beatport, and in a couple of weeks, on all other digital music outlets worldwide).
With seven new tropicaliente remixes, this is a must-have for DJs or anybody interested in warming up a house party with some dope funky Latin beats.
Mexico’s space cumbia producer G-Flux recently relocated to DC and quickly linked up with Empresarios to do one of those remixes, turning the reggae (reggaetón?) jam “Rompan Fila” into pure ñu-cumbia delight. Thanks to Fort Knox Recordings, you can get that download for free, but promise to check out the rest of the EP, ok?
Can’t get enough Empresarios? Do not despair, their second full length album is dropping in November. Yeah, I told you these guys don’t take a break.
