Exciting news: Chilean rapper Anita Tijoux is making her long-awaited US debut this Spring, kicking things off at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival in March, and then visting LA, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston and more.

Anita, who became famous in Latin America during the ’90s as part of the rap group Makiza, exploded into the mainstream with her appearance in Julieta Venegas’ hit “Eres Para Mi” in 2007, the same year she released her debut solo album, Kaos.

Now, she’s back with a new album titled 1977, which will be released in the US in April by Nacional Records. Yes, 1977 is the year of her birth (she was born in France from a French mother and an exiled Chilean father.) We can’t wait to see her in action!
