After a bunch of mixtapes and unofficial releases, it’s time for Los Rakas to finally come up with their official debut, right?
We’ve been like talking about them for three years now and they still haven’t dropped an official release.
Well, it’s finally coming up, on August 23rd, the debut EP Chancletas & Camisetas Bordada will be available on iTunes and all other digital music vendors.
It’s time for the Panama-by-the-way-of-Oakland rapping duo to prove that they were worth all that accumulated buzz. We already know they deliver a great live show (they killed it at The Spot), and they have all the charisma and the looks. They also do some pretty damn good job over borrowed beats (as in last years’ “Abrazame” which remix by Uproot Andy was on everybody’s best-of-2010 lists). Now it’s time to listen to them doing their own thing, with their own riddims and if the first single available here “Ta Lista” is an indicator, the upcoming EP is gonna be pure dopeness.
