You know we’ve been following rock en español band Making Movies for a minute, and they headlined our En Tu Ciudad show in Chicago last year. Now that the band is about to release their full-length debut album on March 16th, we’ve got a special treat for you: the video premiere for their new single “La Marcha.”

The album titled, In Deo Speramus was recorded live in their hometown of Kansas City and features 5 songs in English and 5 in Spanish. “La Marcha” opens with a strong guitar riff that  then melds into a cumbia groove. The video, just like the album, was shot while the guys of Making Movies played live.

Panamanian-born, Kansas City-bred lead singer Enrique Chi grew up jamming with his dad Enrique Sr. and siblings to artists such as  Juan Luis Guerra, The Police, Peter Gabriel, and of course, fellow Panamanian Rubén Blades. From those early sessions, Making Movies evolved into the bilingual, cosmopolitan pop-rock group it is today.
