Well, this is wonderful. Venezuela’s La Vida Bohème teamed up once again with director Carl Zitelmann—and a whole cavalry of accomplished animators—to create this jarring, surreal, and impressive clip, titled “Flamingo.” The result is an early-era-Disney-throwback mini movie that’s as dark as it is joyful, as contemplative as it is mindlessly fun. The clip, which took three years to produce, has made the international festival rounds (from Montreal to Argentina to Chicago to Cuba).
