Over the weekend, Fania Records announced the cancellation of what promised to be a legendary reunion of the Fania All Stars at Central Park’s SummerStage.
The event, originally scheduled for August 24th, was set to reunite an expansive cast of greats, including Johnny Pacheco, Ismael Miranda, Willie Colón, Bobby Valentín, Eddie Montalvo, and more.
Fania cited various reasons for the cancellation, including “timing and recording issues.” Tickets will be refunded automatically by Ticketmaster.
