Two months ago, Colombian darlings Bomba Estéreo shared their latest single, “Qué bonito,” an infectious champeta pop track that embraces the joy of the African heritage in their country. Mediopicky couldn’t miss the opportunity to put his personal stamp on it, and he did an unofficial remix, which went a little under the radar, but now he have it right here!
The Dominican producer knows a thing or two about making people dance, as we’ve noticed in his previous work, and he does it again on this remix. This is a post-Harlem Shake trap number with massive drops that will crack dance floors in half. He retains some of the elements from the original version, like the delicious picked guitar riff, which he uses to build up tension; and there’s a section that remains intact, so we still get the champeta flavor (and the Yamaha dog bark samples).
