The Peruvian ñu-cumbia avant-garde is back. Dengue Dengue Dengue has a new EP about to drop on Enchufada (the Lisbon-based record label managed by the founding members of Buraka Som Sistema).
“Banana” is the first single from that upcoming release and it’s a slow burner. You gotta have some patience because it takes its time to build up with that long, minimalist intro. Still, a great track with plenty of that characteristic Amazonian jungle, trip-inducing power.
Also, I just found out that the masked Peruvian dynamic duo is planning to release a biographical documentary (have they been around for that long?). Check out the trailer.
