Spain-based freebie (and awesome) digital mag Revista Plástica is continuing the free flow with the release of the first edition of Plásticos y Etéreos 2011 Vol. 1, a compilation of indie artists spanning the Latin side of the globe. The 10-track collection includes NY-via-PR chill kings Balún, 2010 Best Track champions Dënver, L.A.’s Chico Sonido, and a slew of other Mexican and Spanish folks. Some tracks are Plástica exclusives, others are reworkings. We particularly enjoy Balún’s beautiful (almost Asian sounding) “En medio del desastre” and Granada natives Chin Yi’s aggressive “Iben ma catcha.”
