August is starting off as a month of ballyhoo for this jazzy pop starlet, and her recent all-English and self-titled sophomore album is quickly paving way into the ears of English-speaking audiences — also likely towards other foreign speaking folks around. We recently featured Ximena Sariñana‘s latest splashy video #2 for her first single “Different,” and we’re totally looking forward for more summer fests with the gal. She’ll be performing at Lollapalooza this weekend, and next’s at Outside Lands.

Only as of August 4th, the Mexican singer gave away “Lies We Live In” via KCRW radio station. The brass-centric tune brings back influences from Sariñana’s musical jazz roots honing a slightly more mature sound than her previous works. Regardless of who she sings it to, the lyrics are bountiful expressions of a person’s strife for the genuineness of another. “Lies We Live In” is a positively dense track that amalgamates a neo-chamber composition and soulful melodic vocals.
