Rappers are always looking for the perfect beats to spit their rhymes on. So whenever a new dope beat producer comes out, he sooner or later gets inundated with e-mails from MC’s requesting, demanding, begging, for some instrumental tracks where they can overdub their verses.
I’m totally speculating here, but I guess that’s exactly what happened to Gas-Lab. After he did a couple of beats for some rhyming heavy-weights like Argentina’s Mustafa Yoda and Spain’s Juaninaka, the avalanche of requests coming from all over the world overwhelmed him and so he decided to please them all at once.

Now this is not the type of rap that you listen on the radios and clubs and you most probably hate as much as I do. There’s no bragging about guns, gold-teeth or fancy new cars, and there’s no booty-shaking beats either. This is soulful, jazzy, laid-back music with intelligent, conscious, interesting messages.
