On Saturday October 17, Santiago de Chile’s experimental record label No Problema Tapes suffered a major loss when their headquarters/workshop caught fire and burnt down. Thankfully there were no human casualties; however, their cassette manufacturing operation, as well as part of their physical product stock, and miscellaneous equipment was completely lost.

The label made the news public via social media the same day of the fire, having spent the last couple of days regrouping. On Sunday, October 18 they offered an update via Twitter, announcing a No Problema GoFundMe page to get the label back on its feet while assuring that their current and upcoming releases should be able to go out on schedule since most were being manufactured abroad. Another label, Infinito Audio Network shared the space with No Problema, whose personnel are also seeking a way forward.

No Problema Tapes was established in 2013 and it’s currently one of the most important experimental electronic labels worldwide. The independent venture specializes in vaporwave, ambient, drone, and other post-internet genres, releasing artists from around the world on limited edition physical LPs and cassettes as well as digitally.

Support the label by donating to their GoFundMe or purchase any of their releases through their Bandcamp page. To help Infinito Audio, please send an email to infinitoaudiolabel@gmail.com.
