Every year, Austin, TX, gears up for its annual South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. The popular conference and festival features the latest in technology, film, music, education, and culture – including some of today’s hottest Latine artists making waves in our scene. The music showcases at SXSW 2024 are taking place from Mar. 11 to 16 across the Texan city, bringing together entertainment enthusiasts from all over the map.

Whether you’ve been to SXSW before or it’s your first time attending, it’s good to freshen up on the basics. A recommended first stop is the Austin Convention Center, the festival’s main area, where you can pick up your official badge (if purchased). Though that’s the main hub, showcases happen all over the Texan capital. Attractive venues like Palm Door on Sixth Patio, Speakeasy, and Mohawk Austin open their doors to host artists of all calibers. These shows are normally open to valid SXSW badge holders, but some are also open to the general public –  depending on the organizer. Point blank: make sure to check the event’s details and wear comfortable shoes to avoid FOMO.

There are many showcases to look forward to at SXSW 2024. For example, Rolling Stone is featuring Latine acts like Peso Pluma and Young Miko, who are undeniably slaying their genre, releasing hit after hit. Like last year, Billboard’s The Stage is also highlighting Latine talent, this time securing Christian Nodal as a headliner during one of their highly-anticipated nights.
