Coca-Cola is embracing small businesses and Latine culture in a new way. This December, the total beverage company invited emerging música mexicana duo Las Marías to carol to local Latine neighborhoods as part of its “Caroling All the Way con Coca-Cola” activation in Los Angeles, CA. Here’s what the twin sisters—María Teresa and María Isabel—said about the experience, and about what they think will trend next in regional Mexican music.
The “Caroling All the Way con Coca-Cola” holiday initiative featured Coca-Cola carolers performing festive songs and delivering Coca-Cola Holiday Kits to individuals, families, and small businesses to spark the community spirit in three cities: Los Angeles, CA, Miami, FL, and New York, NY. Each holiday activation captured intimate interactions from families, staff members, and local business owners, as they were serenaded with holiday classics many of us grew up listening to. According to the press release, the initiative was “rooted in Coca-Cola’s tradition of uplifting, human-centered holiday storytelling,” and to highlight the “authentic moments of connection and the real magic created when people share joy with one another.”
Moreover, the Holiday Kits also included FIFA World Cup 2026TM themed Coca-Cola items, hyping up what’s to come in 2026 when the fútbol matches begin. And that wasn’t all. Coca-Cola had a bonus treat in store for its beloved Angeleno stop. One of the most exciting parts of “Caroling All the Way con Coca-Cola” in Los Angeles was the surprise performance of the Arizona natives, who sang their favorite holiday songs, as well as covers and original music. The duo added a holiday spark to an otherwise ordinary weekday in LA.
“Today we were ‘Caroling All the Way with Coca-Cola’ in LA. We had a great time with all the lovely people of Los Angeles. All the señoras who were working there [the small businesses] enjoyed it, [and] danced with us,” María Teresa and María Isabel said about the experience, finishing each other’s sentences. “[The people] really enjoyed the music we brought them, the Christmas atmosphere, and the festive vibes of the upcoming holidays.” The holiday set included “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night,” and “Feliz Navidad.” They also performed non-seasonal favorites like “Mi Enemigo El Amor,” the classic Regional Mexican track “La Yaquesita,” and their original Tex-Mex cumbia, “Tú, Solamente Tu.”
Beyond the event itself, the twin sisters said they were excited to be a part of the activation to represent women in regional Mexican music and to inspire little girls to follow their music dreams. Looking ahead to what’s next in music, they envision Regional Mexican trends transitioning into a country-pop realm. “Not because we’re doing it, but because [other artists like] Carin León are [also] doing it,” they shared. “I feel like that’s the new trend and we’re very excited… Overall, [we’re excited about] how Regional is popping now, and how we’re the new best thing. And we’re taking over the charts – and to be part of it is super cool.”
But the heart of the day was not just the performance, it was the reaction of the people they visited. Business owners and staff paused their work to listen and sang along. Community members shared hugs and laughter. The joy was immediate and genuine.

In a season meant for togetherness, Coca-Cola helped transform ordinary spaces into small celebrations of joy, gratitude, and cultural pride—reminding us that the holidays are brightest when shared. As Las Marías reflected: “Coca-Cola is always about family, and the fact that we’re bringing together the joy of Christmas, and getting to see all the surprises and people enjoying our music and Coca-Cola, it’s just really special.”
