Isle of Light has become one of the highlights of the Latin American festival circuit for the last few years. 2016 won’t be an exception, as this year’s edition of the Dominican fest was just announced.
After establishing a reputation as a one-stop destination for culture and music, Isle of Light returns to Santo Domingo with a lineup of international indie darlings, including Neon Indian, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Shamir, plus Latino movers and shakers like Puerto Rico’s Álvaro Díaz and Los Walters. On the local front, we have Gran Poder De Diosa, Mula, Playa O Radio, and Selektor 7. The full lineup will be revealed in the coming weeks.
In addition to the music, the fest will feature a food court curated by Avocado that promises a great variety of artisanal cuisine. It will also host IOL Pro, a series of workshops featuring music biz insiders from the DR and other countries. Further details are TBA.
