Sech and J Balvin celebrated Halloween over the weekend by premiering the music video for “La Luz.” In the cinematic visual, the two artists try to survive a supernatural party.

“La Luz” is the new single by Panamanian superstar Sech. The collaboration was first premiered on Fortnite where J Balvin and Sech gave a virtual performance as part of the online game’s Fortnitemares event. On Halloween night, the Colombian rapper became the first Latin music artist to perform on Fortnite.

“I am very happy to be releasing this single with one of the biggest names in the genre,” Sech said in a press release. “It’s a single that was created for having a good time and it allows us to take our minds off the current state just for a moment.”

“La Luz” was written by Sech, J Balvin, and the song’s producers BK, Cerebro, and Dímelo Flow. Sech has worked with fellow Panamanian Dímelo since the start of his career. The song has a throwback reggaetón feel with a haunting sound. Both artists challenge the listener to turn off the light and see what kind of shenanigans happen in the dark.

The spooky perreo comes to life in the music video directed by J Balvin’s frequent collaborator Colin Tilley. Sech and Balvin crash a party dressed as the Ghostbusters. As the lights flicker in the creepy visual, they come across ghosts, monsters, and zombies. Will the dream team make it out alive? You’ll have to watch and see.

Sech recently won New Artist of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Later this month, Sech is competing for two Latin Grammy Awards. J Balvin is the most-nominated artist in a single year with 13 nominations.
