JLo has given her fans a gift. She’s released the highly anticipated music video to her latest single, “In The Morning,” and it is a stunner to watch!
Released exclusively on Triller for 48 hours, the video shows Jennifer Lopez in an ethereal realm, turning into a mermaid, a nude angel with huge white wings, among a few other visuals.
“And I loved you even more than I loved me,” begins the Instagram caption. “I am soooo excited for you to see the official video for #InTheMorning ☀️☀️ It’s full of symbolism about a dark one-sided relationship and the realization that you can’t change anyone else … you can only change yourself!!! Grow your own wings and walk away from anyone or anything that doesn’t truly value all you have to offer.”
The Hustlers star hashtagged the video preview with mantras like “#loveyourselffirst #saveyourself #keepevolving #keepgrowing #neversettleforlessthanyoudeserve.”
In a teaser released the day before the video’s debut, the Boricua superstar said, “The song is really about demanding someone to treat you in the right way,” she noted. “There’s a lot of symbolism in the video. This girl, kind of, falls into a relationship and she’s sinking in this water so she grows a mermaid tail. And then little by little she starts growing her own wings just to be able to walk away from the relationship.”
The single was released on November 26th, and Lopez performed it live for the first time, on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
