With the murder of George Floyd making waves across the world and inspiring people to take to the streets in protest, artists are also using their platforms to bring a spotlight to the incessant issue of racism and white supremacy in the police force.

On Wednesday, Dipset rapper Juelz Santana shared his tribute to Floyd, titled “Justice For George,” in which he raps, “All they want to do is prosecute us/ Shoot us when they ain’t gotta shoot us/ They kill us, turn around, and then protect their own.”

Floyd was suffocated by police officers in Minnesota as he repeatedly begged and pleaded to be allowed to breathe. Video released by a nearby shop owner showed Floyd peacefully complying with officers in the moments leading up to his murder.
