Jack n’ Julieta anyone? The pairing up of Jack Daniel’s whiskey with TJ’s songstress Julieta Venegas proved to be a successful one in the past, apparently, because the brand is sponsoring her again for a US tour to start January 27th. I personally don’t see the connection between her nice-girl anti-diva image and the whiskey but hey, Shakira was introduced to the US mainstream as Pepsi girl back in ’01, remember? And judging by how skinny she looks recently, I don’t think she drinks a whole lot of Pepsi.
Anyway, getting back to the girl with the eyebrows, yep, she’s coming back to the US to promote her latest album, Otra Cosa (just nominated for the Best Latin Pop Album Grammy), and the tour will hit Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New York. There’s no scheduled stop in San Francisco, but they say more shows will be announced soon, so Bay Area Remezcleros, keep your fingers crossed!
