Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda is finally coming back to the U.S. After years away, the música mexicana superstar announced his long-awaited comeback, performing at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, from Apr. 17 to 19. These tour dates will be part of his upcoming 4218 Tour USA 2025. The rest of the dates are expected to be revealed soon.

Although the event’s production company alleges that the first two dates are sold out, tickets for each day are still available for purchase at face value price. Per CMN’s press release (Nov. 18), the singer is expected to become the first Latine artist to fill SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles three consecutive times. They cite that almost 100,000 tickets were sold in 48 hours and that 140,000 people were online waiting to buy tickets. They also mention that this would surpass records held by other Latine stars like Los Bukis, Grupo Firme, and Bad Bunny (2022), who each filled two SoFi nights. It also ties the “Cero Empatía” singer with global artists like Beyoncé and The Rolling Stones, who have also performed three consecutive nights at the stadium with a 70,000-capacity.

Fans are excited about Álvarez’s major comeback. The last time he performed in the U.S. was in July 2016, after the singer made history by becoming the first norteño act to go on a  22-date arena tour. A year later, he had to stop touring the U.S. According to Billboard Español, the U.S. Treasury Department “singled out Álvarez for alleged money laundering and links to drug trafficking” in 2017. He had to close his social media accounts and refrain from working stateside. In 2022, he cleared up what happened after charges were dropped. He said that, at the time, he wanted to partner with a real estate company to build houses but didn’t know that the U.S. government was following those people.

Fast forward to now, the former Banda MS singer — known for hits like “Regalo De Dios,” “Pongámonos De Acuerdo,” and “Lo Tienes Todo” — is expected to pick up where he left off. And it seems to be working with the newer generation. “Lo Tienes Todo” has recently become a TikTok favorite, garnering over 389,600 videos under its sound.

We’ll keep an eye out for the rest of Julión Álvarez’s U.S. tour dates.
