After eight years, Julión Álvarez officially made history with his highly anticipated U.S. comeback performances. The popular música mexicana artist surpassed Bad Bunny, Los Bukis, and Grupo Firme by performing three consecutive sold-out dates (Apr. 17 to 19) at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. He’s now the only Latine star with the record, alongside icons Beyoncé and The Rolling Stones.
“3 of 3 magical nights at @sofistadium ✨ It was worth every second of waiting! 🙏 Thanks to God, to my family that is always firm ❤️, to my team that gives their soul in every show 🔥,” the artist wrote on social media. “But above all, THANK YOU 🙌 for following in Julión’s footsteps always. This is by and for you oiga! 🎤.”
Per the press release, over 150,000 fans joined the “King of the Box Office” for three days. Álvarez performed for about two hours each night and performed 40 songs. The setlist included hits like “Rey Sin Reina”, “Regalo de Dios,” and “El Amor De Su Vida,” cuing passionate fans to sing along with him. His norteño banda also took over the night with thrilling renditions of “La Maria,” “Las Mulas de Moreno,” and “El Toro Viejo,” among other songs.
During Álvarez’s closing performance (Apr. 19), he was praised with a recognition of being the first Latine artist to sell out three consecutive dates at the stadium. Bad Bunny, Los Bukis, and Grupo Firme have two sold-out shows at the venue each. Will Álvarez continue to break more records? For now, we know he will perform his second U.S. city at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, on May 24.

However, in a recent TikTok, the “Lo Tienes Todo” singer teased upcoming tour news by posting a video saying, “Yo haciendo de todo en vez de anunciar más fechas para este 2025 [Me doing everything but announcing more dates for this 2025].” So we might just get an official tour announcement soon. We’ll keep an eye out!
