Kany García Announces U.S. ‘Puerta Abierta Tour’

After releasing her latest album, Puerta Abierta, Kany García will tour the U.S. On Apr. 13, the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter announced her Puerta Abierta Tour, which includes 14 stateside dates. The highly anticipated tour will kick off at the Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, CA, on Sept. 7, and wrap up at the Kia Center in Orlando, FL, on Oct. 4.
“This Friday, the first door opens 🚪 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, and you have no idea how my heart feels… Mexico was the first place I lived after leaving my parents’ house; it’s where I recorded my first album, and it had to be there for the first show,” García wrote on Instagram in Spanish. “But at the same time, I wanted to tell you that I’m closing out the year in my beloved Puerto Rico🇵🇷.”
She continued: “Here, I can finally present the full tour to you! More than 70 doors wide open. Come on in, come on in!🌺”
After starting the Puerta Abierta Tour in Highland, CA, García will perform at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX (Sept. 9); the Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land in Houston, TX (Sept. 10); and The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX (Sept. 11). She will also make stops at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, CA (Sept. 17); the San Jose Civic in San Jose, CA (Sept. 18); and The Auditorium in Chicago, IL (Sept. 20).
The following U.S. dates include the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, MA (Sept. 25); the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ (Sept. 26); and The Met Philadelphia presented by Highmark in Philadelphia, PA (Sept. 27). Her last string of shows will be at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Washington, DC (Sept. 29); the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, GA (Oct. 1); the Kaseya Center in Miami, FL (Oct. 3); and the Kia Center in Orlando, FL (Oct. 4).
García is known for her popular hits like “Te Lo Agradezco” with Carin León, “Para Siempre,” and “Confieso.” The new tour is described as “an unforgettable experience, bringing together major hits and new music in a show that reflects Kany’s artistic evolution,” per the press release.
The presale for Citi cardmembers for the Puerta Abierta Tour will start on Apr. 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales will also be available before the general on-sale, which starts on Apr. 17 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation’s official website. There will also be VIP packages available.
