KHEA‘s smash hit “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” just got a whole lot more Dominican with its new remix. The Argentine rapper is joined by Natti Natasha and Prince Royce in the accompanying music video.

KHEA first released “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” in August as a collaboration with Aventura guitarist Lenny Santos. The song notably blends KHEA’s Latin trap world with bachata music courtesy of Santos. The remix adds Dominican rapper Natti Natasha and Dominican-American singer Prince Royce to the track.

“The mix of trap and bachata really caught my attention,” Natasha said in a statement. “It’s the best of both worlds. Working with Prince Royce for the very first time was such an honor. Royce added, “I feel very happy to work with Natti Natasha who is from my home country and with KHEA from Argentina, a country that is very special to me.”

Santos’ haunting guitar glides across the remix of “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex.” The song is taken to the next level with new verses from Natasha and Royce. The reggaetonera makes a reference to her hit “La Mejor Versión de Mi.” Prince Royce sounds at home in bachata, seen by his soaring performance, while KHEA remains the song’s spitfire.

In the music video for “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” remix, KHEA, Natasha, and Prince Royce take over a motel. In their own rooms, they try to fend off the drama happening with their loved ones (and maybe soon-to-be exes).

Prince Royce’s Alter Ego album is up for Best Tropical Fusion Album at the Latin Grammy Awards this month. He’s killing it in the bachata music scene with a historic 29-week run atop Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart with “Carita de Inocente.” He replaced himself at No. 1 with his latest single “Lotería.”
