Moombahton sure ain’t just East Coast anymore, and Phoenix’s own DJ Melo and his partner Pickster One formed Kingman Fire to make sure you know it. Their ofrenda this día de muertos is a compilation of 18 tracks from some of the best moombah DJs out there – why yes, that is a track from Sabo – all in honor of the holiday.
There isn’t a single track on this compilation that didn’t make me move – I love how deeply this gets into its own Hispanic-ness, making sure to balance the electronic sounds with real roots music.
I’ve been blasting this all weekend, but you guys have to wait until Friday. Kingman Fire Presents: Moombah de los Muertos drops por supuesto on el día de los muertos, November 1st.
