This time, we’re shining the spotlight on La Habitación Roja. “Ayer” is the first single/video for the Valencian rock/pop/indie quintet for their recent, eight studio album, Fue Eléctrico. Don’t let the title fool you: it’s not a cover/direct translation of the Paul-McCartney-as-a-Beatle classic. It is, however, love song.
In the video, the Spanish hipster frontman is seemingly sad and morose in some forest interspersed with flashbacks to an argument with his partner that lead him to spend the night outdoors. There are some cool effects in here including a gif photo that was pretty popular on Tumblr. So does this love story have a happy ending? Watch the video to find out.
