The Argentine femcee is known for her combative rap past as part of Actitud María Marta and her current solo career has been mainly focused on reggae and dancehall. But she’s definitely not new to cumbia. She has already collaborated with Argentina’s ñu-cumbia pioneer El Hijo De La Cumbia and she had a couple good cumbia hits of her own too. So she definitely knew what she was getting into when the guys from La Liga invited her for this collaboration.
“Tengo el Don” also includes extra production by El Chávez who added some of his trade-mark keyboard flavor to the mix and the video was entirely shot in the wholesale produce market of Buenos Aires where they got all the verduleros dancing.
