La Original Banda el Limón, La Original Banda Maguey & More to Give Free Show in Los Angeles

Calling all banda and norteño lovers! A free upcoming banda show is taking place in Los Angeles, CA, featuring La Original Banda el Limón, La Original Banda Maguey, and more stellar performers. The highly-anticipated event is taking place at the Pershing Square on Aug. 4. Fans can enjoy the concert for free as long as they RSVP

Angelenos who are into banda and norteño music are in for a special treat this summer. Besides La Original Banda el Limón and La Original Banda Maguey, other performers include Banda Arkangel R-15 and Los Cadetes de Linares. The lineup also says there will be special surprise guests. 

Headliners La Original Banda el Limón are known for their banda Sinaloense. Popular tracks include “Juan Martha,” “Que Me Digan Loco,” and “El Mejor Perfume.” La Original Banda Maguey is known for its ballads and rhythmic banda quebraditas, like “Tu Eterno Enamorado,” “Si Tu No Estas,” and “Como La Luna.” Banda Arkangel R-15 is also known for its quebraditas, such as “Voy a Pintar Mi Raya,” “Al Mismo Nivel,” and “Fue Tan Poco Tu Cariño.” Lastly, Los Cadetes de Linares is popular for classic norteño hits and corridos like “El Palomito,” “Los Dos Amigos,” and “No Hay Novedad.” 

Tickets for this event are free, though fans must be 21 years old and over and RSVP to attend. Notably, the event is also happening on a first-come, first-serve basis. For those who don’t want to stand in line for general entrance, there’s a VIP option for $20 with guaranteed entrance and access to the pit. The festivities start at 3 p.m. and will also have a fully-stocked bar, food trucks, and art vendors present. 

Other free L.A. music events from the same organizer include a free rhythm and blues concert (July 21) and a free tribute show to Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more artists (Aug. 3).
