La Solar Festival, one of Medellín’s most important and anticipated festivals, is finally back! This time at the Parque Norte de Medellín on Feb. 19, 2022. The festival boasts a major lineup full of both emerging and established acts in and out of the Latine landscape. Some of the performers include Rauw Alejandro, Tainy, Paul Van Dyk, Zhu, The Martinez Brothers, Mariah Angeliq, and Dylan Fuentes. It is catered to those who are enthusiasts of popular reggaeton and electronic music — especially those who are determined to discover music’s next biggest name.

It’s been eight years since the festival started — and it’s only expanding. The 18,000-fan capacity festival is not only focusing on a massive one-day event but a full weekend-worth of celebration for all music aficionados. Starting on Thursday, Feb. 17 to Sunday, Feb. 20, there will be official sideshows to showcase the upcoming acts that are breaking through in their genre. Think of a mini-SXSW surrounding the festival’s date in the city of eternal spring.

To make things more exciting, Remezcla is partly handling one of the highlighted showcases! Remezcla is exclusively co-presenting the sideshow taking place on Feb. 17 headlined by Mariah Angeliq and Dylan Fuentes at the Bolivar. More information on this show can be obtained through Whatsapp (3122342676). Other venues hosting the sideshows include Salon Amador, Flamante, La Deriva, The Bonfire (in Bogotá), and a secret location.

Curious about the festival but never been to Medellín? To invite and accommodate first-time travelers, Remezcla will share a detailed guide to help visitors through the city. This way you get the best out of the full music weekend, and also have the extra assistance from locals.

Tickets for the annual La Solar Festival can be found here, and will also be sold at the door. Will we be seeing you at La Solar?
