The Latin Billboard Music Conference has just announced their lineup for a panel titled, “The New Latin Urban Movement.” As part of the three-day conference and award ceremony, taking place at the Ritz Carlton in Miami Beach, Billboard’s invited some of the biggest names in urban music to come take part in a talk about their work in the industry. Invited guests include Colombian artist J Balvin, Farruko, newcomer Justin Quiles, Plan B, and one of the most highly respected pioneers of reggaeton, Nicky Jam.
The talk will be moderated by NYC DJ, producer, and La Mega radio personality, Alex Sensation. We’re expecting the focus of the panel to be on reggaeton, but we hope they’ll be focusing on the newest trends in Latin urban, how their music is influencing pop markets outside of Latin America, and what we can expect from them this year. We’re especially excited to hear from Nicky Jam, whose hit track “Travesuras” was well received last summer. He’s recently signed to Sony Music U.S Latin, and his Internet presence has grown tremendously since his hiatus from the music industry a few years ago.
