We’re all a little tired of hearing about hot Cheetos, but that’s not the case for Chicano rapper Lil Xan. On Tuesday, the California-born artist better known as Diego Leanos revealed that his obsession with Flamin’ Hots actually landed him in the hospital just a few days before he was supposed to kick off a two-month tour starting in New York.
“I just want to let everybody know I was in the hospital,” he said in a video posted to Instagram. “Not due to any drugs but I guess I ate too many hot Cheetos. And I guess it ripped something in my stomach a little bit,” he snickered. “So I puked a little blood,” he continued. “So we good!”
In the clip, Xan flashes his hospital bracelet to the camera before showing off his apartment as he packs and prepares for the tour. He has a warning for his fanbase, which he refers to as the “xanarchy.” In the caption, he wrote, “Also be careful, Hot Cheetos are one hell of a drug aha!” Hot Cheeto lovers be warned.
