Listen: Cardopusher's "Hyperwave" [VEN]

Cardopusher is spitting acid like he’s Reptile from Mortal Kombat. The Venezuelan producer, whose real name is Luis Garban, just dropped this massive track, included in his upcoming split EP with his partner in crime, Nehuen. It will be out on Classicworks, the label they both co-founded in 2012.

In line with the Classicworks releases so far, “Hyperwave” is an acid and techno track with throwback feel that hits you like a brick. A number of elements appear and disappear from the picture, like tom fills, rock snares, cymbal crashes, and the boomy kick, while the stationary bass synth line stays from start to end, always morphing in time as a filter sweeps its frequencies. There’s something kind of sinister to it, but not too much to keep you from dancing to this banger.

Cardopusher and Nehuen’s Split 02 is out on May 12, through Classicworks. Stream “Hyperwave” below.
