Grupo Frontera finally released their debut album, El Comienzo. The norteño group announced the album was coming via Instagram before officially dropping it Wednesday night (Aug. 3).

After almost two years of hits, Grupo Frontera members Adelaido Solís, Brian Ortega, Julian Peña Jr., Alberto Acosta, Carlos Guerrero, and Juan Javier Cantu are showing why they’re redefining música mexicana

From a romantic melody in “Me Gustas” to a sprinkle of country sound in “Cuidala,” the norteño group shows the diversity in their music style with Latin Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter Edgar Barrera at the helm of this album as producer and songwriter.

The 12-track album features some of their previously released hits, such as “Que Vuelvas” with Carin León and the number one chart-topping hit “unx100to” with Bad Bunny. In addition, El Comienzo features collaborations with Junior H, Yahritza Y Su Esencia, Grupo Firme, and Ke Personajes.

However, that’s not all. The boys are teasing a surprise track on the album that hasn’t been announced yet by posting a graphic with a question mark in the tracklist. Fans flooded the comments speculating that it’s another song with Peso Pluma or Natanael Cano.

Grupo Frontera has been taking over the charts before dropping their debut album. Their collaboration with Bad Bunny, “un x100to” hit number one on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Globel Excl. U.S. charts. In April, Bad Bunny invited the norteño group to perform their song together at Coachella mainstage. Moreover, the guys recently won a Premios Juventud awards for Best Regional Mexican Fusion for “un x100to.”

The band is currently on a summer hiatus from their El Comienzo Tour, which kicked off earlier this year in May and will resume on Aug. 12 in Washington. The second half of their tour will be stopping in cities across Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Virginia, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Missouri before ending in California.
