Kontra is a young rapper from Guatemala peddling his latest full length, Kontratiempos, a 10-cut collection of conscious rap with hints of trap and hardcore. “De Noche y de Día” is a proper showcase for Kontra’s brand of bratty/brooding swag: sometimes smooth, sometimes erratic. The track also serves as a sort of manifesto of why Kontra does what he does.
