Mexican future-funk duo Mood Fu has been working on this release since forever and I’m glad to announce it’s finally out.
Since we introduced them to Remezcla’s followers early last year, we’ve shared a total of three videos from them, all of them included in their new album, Perros De Fu. But if there’s one thing we’ve been able to figure out about these guys from those videos it’s that they’re impossible to really figure out. Each new song surprises us, taking us into a different direction. From super slow-mo erotic ballads to dance-floor-igniting club anthems, brothers Pedro and Hassel can handle a wide spectrum of moods, funk being the connecting thread. And this versatility can be appreciated at its best when listening to their album as a whole.
“Perros de Fu,” the song, is the opener in Perros de Fu, the album, an album that, FYI, includes guest appearances by Tea Time (of Chile’s funk masters Los Tetas), Juan Manuel Torreblanca, Morenito de Fuego, Niña Dioz, and many more.
