Miami’s Mr. Pauer got really lucky and scored with two sisters. Apparently, the Latin Grammy-nominated producer was hanging out with this renowned Venezuelan composer, Fernando Osorio (who penned Celia Cruz’s classic “La Negra Tiene Tumbao,” amongst many others), and he told Pauer, “I have two daughters who can sing, why don’t I send them over to your studio?” I’m paraphrasing here, the adorable girls tell the story a lot better.

So, yeah, the girls chose a beat Mr. Pauer was working on and wrote some lyrics to go with it and the result is a gorgeous, musical ménage à trois. Then Mr. Pauer called a bunch of friends (Afro Kumbe, Kinky Electric Noise, Bleepolar…) and asked them to provide remixes, taking the single in unexpected directions and, voilà, “Dare” became an official release, one with a lot of crossover potential. I dare you to resist the enchantment of their sensual voices over Pauer’s loungy electrópico beat.
