Listen: Neon Indian's "Polish Girl"

Last week, Neon Indian (a.k.a. Alan Palomo) teased chillwave addicts to some new sounds with “Fallout,” the first single off his hotly-anticipated sophomore album Era Extraña (She Was Odd or Strange Era). This week, Palomo offers the yang to “Fallout’s” ying with the release of his second single, “Polish Girl.”

Where “Fallout” plodded along its four-minute trail at a shoegaze pace, “Polish Girl” dances along to a synth-apalooza of beats, waves and instruments. Careful listeners will be reminded of artists such as Cut Copy, El Guincho and M83. The song isn’t as chill, mellow or psychedelic as anything on Psychic Chasms which is fine by us. We can’t have one of our favorites get stale and repetitive!

Listen to the track at the link below and head over to iTunes to pick up the single. Era Extraña is scheduled for release on Sept. 13th on CD, Vinyl and a deluxe edition with custom synthesizer.
