The Holydrug Couple boasts a couple of Chilean dudes, Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra, crafting some laid-back psychedelic jams. Their debut LP, Noctuary, came out early this year off Brooklyn-based label Sacred Bones. The 10-track album is a strong effort that harkens to the era of the feel-good in a hauntingly modern way. It’s washed-out, blissed-out meditation.
With Record Store Day nearing, Sacred Bones has prepped a sampler of their 2013 catalogue titled Todo Muere Volume 3, which includes an exclusive single from the Santiago duo (Serge Gainsbourg’s “Je t’aime…moi non plus”), as well as samples from Zola Jesus, The Men, and Moon Duo, among others.
