Los Violetas, an eclectic duo by way of the Dominican Republic, confidently claim on their Facebook page that they are located inside our pineal glands. That’s right – you can find Los Violetas deep in your brain, in the melatonin-producing gland of your body, the body’s sixth chakra. Los Violetas are studio enslaved at the moment, recording their debut album coming out at the end of July (self titled). They also recently released the video for “El Verdor,” offering a tunnel view into a kaleidoscopic party featuring the band’s front members Au7ro and Fiona Shékuby. Their melodic, feel-good debut track teaches us that “nadie es especial, solo somos luces.”
