People everywhere have been posting vaccine selfies, as they get the life-saving COVID-19 inoculation. Mariah Carey, however, hit a high note–literally.

As shown in the video, the multi-platinum, award-winning artist was notably nervous. Carey filmed herself, at a doctor’s office, getting the jab, in order to help spread the message of getting a vaccine as soon as you can.

“They’re having medical narrative, but I’m here,” the songstress says at the beginning of the video, as her medical team preps her vaccine. “Excited and nervous a little bit about getting this shot.”

“This is distracting them from doing their job, but, you know how I am. I just talk and don’t really think about it.”

The mother of two started getting a little jittery, and started to try to ease herself into the jab.

“OK, so I’m calming down, a little nervous, about to get this shot,” she repeats before she lists her pandemic journey from her first post, to promoting safety guidelines on her socials with her kids, and says that we “are still in this battle together.”

After a few more seconds of Carey’s nervous chatter, you can see the vaccine go into her arm, as she screams in one of her famous high notes.

She ends the video, notably relieved, and encouraging others to sign up as soon as they are able to. Carey becomes the latest celebrity posting about their own COVID vaccine experience to encourage their followers to do the same.

As of April 4, over 61 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated, with the number expected to grow more steadily in the coming months ahead.
