According to Hoy San LuisMexican rapper Adán Cruz was recently detained in San Luis Potosí, Mexico under charges of sexual abuse and corruption of minors, along with 24-year-old Daniel N. and 20-year-old Iván, whose surnames were not disclosed. The police report states that Cruz and the two others returned to a local motel for an after party, following a performance at a local venue, and invited a 14-year-old and 16-year-old girl along with them. According to Pulso Diario San Luis, the teenagers’ parents had reported them missing earlier that day, following a domestic dispute. Police officers used social media to locate Cruz and the minors at a motel in Valle Dorado, where they were later arrested. Authorities allege that the three men offered the teens drugs and engaged in sexual relations. The minors have returned home safely.

Late yesterday evening, Cruz’s booking agent and friend Águila Sativa uploaded a video statement demanding the release of the Monterrey-born rapper. According to Sativa, the minors were guests at the afterparty when authorities arrived at the motel. Sativa claims they were there to “slander Adan and Mexican hip-hop.” Sativa states that a lawyer is working with Cruz and Mexican authorities to dismiss the charges.
