Road Trip Nacional Records Style

Our friends at Nacional Records are celebrating five years of holding it down at the front lines of the Latin alternative music market and four Latin Grammy nominations for their artists. The mini tour starts the day before the awards ceremony in Vegas with a show at the Palms Casino Resort by Hello Seahorse! and Banda de Turistas, both nominated for awards (Best Alternative Song for the Mexican group, Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Song for the Argentines).

From there the Turistas will honor their name by touring through the West Coast (for the first time!), escorted by New York’s Pacha Massive, with stops in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Both these shows are planned to start very early–San Francisco’s show at The Elbo Room is scheduled for 4 p.m. and LA’s show at The Echo will open doors around 6 p.m. So if you already had plans to go out that night…attending these affordable (only $5!) events won’t interfere with your intentions. In fact, if you’re around the Bay Area and hit up the early show at the Elbo Room, you can just stay at the venue and join electro-cumbia ambassadors Oro11 and Disco Shawn at their highly popular Tormenta Torpical party. Chances are the guys from Banda de Turistas and Pacha Massive will be doin’ the hustle right there next to you.

But what? No East Coast love? Psh.
