More than 7 years after her breakthrough self-titled debut album catapulted her to stardom in her native Mexico and Latin America, and almost 3 years after winning a Latin Grammy for her second album, Casa, (this one was released with her band under the name Natalia y La Forquetina), Natalia Lafourcade keeps reinventing herself. But all away from the public eye.

With her performances at the South By Southwest Music Conference (SXSW) this week in Austin, we just had to stop Natalia when we got the chance to ask her: what have you been up to for the past couple of years? A few months in Canada, collaborations with Julieta Venegas, and a classical album are just some of the projects that have kept this petite and astute multi-talented singer-songwriter really, really busy.
