Axe DFX launches their first annual showcase on Saturday, November 8th with four artists from left-field underground club label Cómeme, which recently released the Gasoline compilation, “a non-stop party that will leave [you] both exhausted and weirded out in the best way possible.” The lineup will be rounded out by deep house duo Thugfucker of NYC/Berlin label Life and Death to close out the night.
The pop-up party space will be the first of a series of showcases dedicated to shining a light on underground electronic music labels, with Cómeme repped by label bossman Matias Aguayo fresh off a solo return to the Kompakt label with his Legende EP, dance avant-gardiste Phillip Gorbachev (check out his just-released Silver Album, consisting of nine live-performed arrangements), the early ’90s club sounds of Cologne, Germany’s Christian S., and Rosario, Argentina’s dark techno-house experimentalist Ana Helder.
